This short film is a satire of racial stereotyping. In American slang Oreo (from the trade name of a brand of cookies with white cream between round chocolate biscuits) refers to a black person who has assumed the values and behaviour of white society. Janet and Richard are a couple living in New York who decide to adopt a white child 'to promote racial harmony'.
