Log Cabin Breaks

Where would you prefer to spend your vacations at - in a cottage or a log cabin? Cabin breaks are the newbie to the hotel and hotel business - but surprisingly, they have been around as a concept in the United Kingdom for quite some time. However, it has been only recently that they have grown in popularity. So, then why do people opt for log cabins over a cottage or the vice versa?

Log cabins in London and surrounding areas are attractive and this is in largely due to the fantastic locations and the scene and the logic behind it is quite simple - planning permission. In London, it can be a long path and at the end, it boils down to, if you would get permission to build a log cabin for vacations, which are occupied only at intermittent times of the year and that too is a great locale. Sadly, the answer is a resounding yes and your permission will be delayed if you decide to go for it. As for the reason, it is not very clear or transparent but that is the real scenario. It is for sure that cottages do have a grand setting sometimes but you would have to pay up as there are fewer of these.

In addition, if you have pets whom you would not want to leave behind, then cabins are a more suitable alternative compared to simple cottages. All said and done, if you do then go ahead and you will have to look hard to find a cottage which takes in dogs. Usually, why cabins are much better because it offer gardens and a backyard and thus have plenty of room for the pets to enjoy the unfettered life.

However, if it is hotels that you like and prefer the full-services of luxurious hotels, then you would find log cabins a little tedious. You would have to cook yourself and also, do some basic things yourself and can't really expect help and that would not be too different from what you do at home.

But then, think again, maybe this kind of vacation is just what you need for your overworked and tormented soul.
